Having written a LOT of marches for my bands and others over the years, the kids always enjoy the process and they have named several of them.
I am available for commissions for your contest march, customized and written specifically for your group.
Prices listed from my website will include a pdf of the score and all parts. You can make as many copies as you need. If purchased through J.W. Pepper it will cost substantially more but you will receive a traditional score with binding and a full set of parts.

A VICTORY MARCH
GRADE 2 - All $20 (unless noted)
I wrote this after a week vacation in Cancun. There was a Cuban band in the resort that played all week. I was fascinated at their arrangements and bass lines. I classify this as a march but could be a concert piece as well. There is NO snare drum - replaced with a conga. There is a lot of percussion but can be played with 4-7 members.
A fun march using recognizable themes from Americ's pastime sport - Baseball! The main theme comes from what else - "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" Though it's not a literal playing of that theme, it still has recognizable elements the traditional song including shouting "3 STRIKES YOU'RE OUT!". It also includes shouts and organ riffs to pump up the crowd. (I REALLY LIKE THIS ONE! FUN!)
Available on J.W. Pepper for $40
GRADE 4 - All $30 (unless noted)

LIVE RECORDING - This is my favorite circus march. Recording - Washington Winds. It is published through C.L. Barnhouse and is available through most music retailers.
"...whimsical and slightly off-beat touch, while maintaining the structure and authentic feel of a traditional circus march. Unique & memorable." - Stanton's Listening Library
J.W. PEPPER - PENDER'S MUSIC - C. L. BARNHOUSE
HALF STEP MARCH - Your students who loved Mark Williams' "March Chromatica" in Middle School are ready to delight in this "grown-up" version. More than just a novelty, the chromaticism is truly the integral building block of the entire march, adding a whimsical and slightly off-beat touch, while maintaining the structure and authentic feel of a traditional circus march. Unique & memorable. - STANTON SHEET MUSIC
